PHOSPHOR:
— the local DOSBox cycles this on its own hotkey; a
browser keeps those keys, so the page owns the tube instead
720x348, one bit per dot: the 6845 programmed by hand, the world dithered by luminance, the cockpit drawn in densities — seams dark, plates half-tone, lamps burning. Pure 8086 assembly in DOSBox (WASM) via js-dos · source · built by Owlos
There was no colour on a Hercules and there is none here: what the
card gives you is RESOLUTION — 720x348, twice a CGA's dots
— and this game spends all of it. The picture rides 640x300;
brightness is dither density, and the cockpit ships pre-drawn in
those densities, baked offline. L still switches day and
night: the night sky thins to sparse grain. The keys are OWL FLY
II's, key for key — the full manual lives on the
OWL FLY II page. Alt-Q leaves.
